Yes. Australian senior certificates, including WACE and the ATAR, are recognised by universities in Asia, Europe, North America and beyond. Individual universities set their own entry requirements, so it is worth checking the latest admissions criteria.
The ATAR is a percentile ranking used for Australian university admissions. International schools that deliver a state-based Australian senior certificate calculate ATARs through the same approved authorities, giving graduates the same university-entry standing as students in Australia.
The Australian Curriculum is a national framework with state-based senior qualifications such as WACE and ATAR. The IB is a global programme with its own diploma. Some schools offer both: the Australian Curriculum in earlier years and the IB Diploma or IB Middle Years Programme alongside it.
